Pakistan warns next war with India might lead to changes in world map
This statement from the Pakistani military followed a warning issued a day earlier by Indian army chief Gen. Upendra Dwivedi, who stated that forces will not show restraint next time and that Islamabad must stop "supporting" terrorism if it wants to retain its place on globe map.
India's Defense Minister, Rajnath Singh, warned on Thursday that any aggressive action by Pakistan in the Sir Creek sector would provoke a “strong and decisive” reaction that may have the potential to “change both history and geography.”
Sir Creek is a contested, 96-kilometer tidal channel located between Gujarat, India, and Pakistan's Sindh province.
In a statement by the Pakistan army's military wing stated that "we have noted with grave concern the delusional, provocative and jingoistic statements coming from the highest levels of the Indian security establishment."
The announcement also added that "in the face of highly provocative statements ... we caution that a future conflict might lead to cataclysmic devastation. In case a fresh round of hostilities is triggered, Pakistan shall not hold back. We shall resolutely respond, without any qualms or restraint."
